"Hectic"

That's the only word I can describe my day.

Early in the morning, my 8.30am alarm clock dragged me out of sleep cuz I was committed to meet DJ at his school for filming (haz I tried dragging Erwin into this as well but he had a valid excuse :/). Anyways, I was late (arrived at 9.30am) and it was later discovered that DJ couldn't get the camera cuz his lecturer was apparently senile. >_>

Fast forward to 11am and I had a frekking retarded meeting in school. Meet about what?

"I am calling a meeting here to finalise the colour of your T-shirt."

Oh my gawd. >_<

So I was really bored and I just went out with a friend to buy friend friend's present. So yea, friend's friend birthday coming soon so my friend wants to buy present for friend's friend. Though friend got no money and friend's other friend friend wanted to lend my friend some, my friend vallantly declined and use his/her own money to buy a nice present for friend's friend.

Being friend friend's friend, I am happy for friend's friend since friend got friend's friend such a nice present! :D

And Erwin (he's not the previous friend, friend's friend or the friend's other friend btw) suddenly called me at 1736hr.

"Err.. I have knocked off from work."

Yeah.....

"I am going Chinatown..."

Okay.....

"Err..."

Errr...... You going Chinatown alone for what?

"Buy clothes lorh."

Err.... Okay meet ya there at 1830hr.

=.="

And so my entire evening + night was scammed away by Erwin who spent 2 hours trying out and selecting jeans while looking at himself in the mirror (lmao).

Okay but I don't blame him for that coz I volunteered. >_>

Hectic.

And so.. I chanced upon this song

Brad Paisley - Letter To Me

If I could write a letter to me
And send it back in time to myself at 17
First I'd prove it's me by saying look under your bed
There's a Skoal can and a Playboy no one else would know you hid
And then I'd say I know it's tough
When you break up after seven months
And yeah I know you really liked her and it just don't seem fair
All I can say is pain like that is fast and it's rare

And oh you got so much going for you going right
But I know at 17 it's hard to see past Friday night
She wasn't right for you
And still you feel like there's a knife sticking out of your back
And you're wondering if you'll survive
You'll make it through this and you'll see
You're still around to write this letter to me

At the stop sign at Tomlinson and Eighth
Always stop completely don't just tap your breaks
And when you get a date with Bridgett make sure the tank is full
On second thought forget it that one turns out kinda cool
Each and every time you have a fight
Just assume you're wrong and dad is right
And you should really thank Mrs. Brinkman
She spent so much extra time
It's like she sees the diamond underneath
And she's polishin' you 'til you shine

And oh you got so much going for you going right
But I know at 17 it's hard to see past Friday night
Tonight's the bonfire rally
But you're staying home instead because if you fail Algebra
Mom and dad will kill you dead
Trust me you'll squeak by and get a C
And you're still around to write this letter to me

You've got so much up ahead
You'll make new friends
You should see your kids and wife
And I'd end by saying have no fear
These are nowhere near the best years of your life

I guess I'll see you in the mirror
When you're a grown man
P.S. go hug Aunt Rita every chance you can

And oh you got so much going for you going right
But I know at 17 it's hard to see past Friday night
I wish you'd study Spanish
I wish you'd take a typing class
I wish you wouldn't worry, let it be
I'd say have a little faith and you'll see

If I could write a letter to me
To me

"A forked out is like a DETOUR in the TAR - either side has its pros and cons. Making a decision is often difficult and more than often, you realise that the OTHER side of the coin always seems to be more appealing. But... is that really true?"

I decide to question the decisions I had made as I ponder over the current situation.

I have made - without much consideration - various decisions which up till now, I have yet to answer to and/or resolved.

But there's this one question which I have failed to answer: Why did I even think of doing it in the first place?

I must say that to this date, I am a very fortunate person.

Regardless of the different forks which I encounter, I am always presented with a bypass - one which will enable me to meet up with the other fork. In layman terms, I am always given a second chance to experience the other side of the coin.

I guess there is an opening now - should I walk through it or should I wait for the next one?

Decision making is a hard task.

Omg -collapse-

I am so.. SO frekking tired now.

I didn't sleep a single bit during s60 Class Chalet but I must admit - it was a really fun experience.

Starting the event with a Class BBQ, I was in the unit next door (basically our class rented 2 units) watching Erwin and company playing Mahjong. Somehow, by the time the Mahjong gang went out to grab some food, the entire Class BBQ session had transformed into a Camwhoring session. o_O

And zomg I ended up taking more pictures than I had ever had in a Class Chalet (and honestly, I don't camwhore THAT MUCH). My aim was to take pictures with EVERYONE at the chalet and I really hope I managed to meet that objective (P.S. Who has the class photos?! I want them zomg. :X)

Incidentally, OB treated all of us to a cup (hmmm not a glass) of Sparkling Champagne. Hoho 12.5% Alcohol. :X

After getting all dizzy (with MJ ALMOST getting a hangover), we lazed around while waiting for Hoxy to arrive. But perhaps it was sort of a good thing that Hoxy came late cuz it gave most of us some time to get out of the alochol intoxication trance. LULZ. (Fortunately, nobody went out of their control zone and... did socially undesirable acts. tsk.)

Right, so immediately after Hoxy came and settled down, we went off to.. cycle - through the night.

It was quite interesting to see how much attention OB paid to the safety of the group - something which the guys in my school don't exactly get so tensed over.

So all of us went all the way to the end of Pasir Ris Park. Yup. End of cycling trip.

But it's ridiculous to rent a bike overnight for 15SGD just to ride it for 2 hours in the night! So... I joined GD and company on their cycling trek.

I must say that I have done cycling treks in the day - but NEVER in the night. GD brought us firstly to Changi Village, where I saw a transsexual (and when I rode past him/her at the Changi Bus Terminal, I turned back to give Erwin a wide grin... o_O) before we followed GD's lead to Changi Coast and the Airport Perimeters. It was the FIRST TIME I saw the Airport from the Permimeter Road... AT NIGHT. The bright orange lights created a marvellous and impressive ambience which was not possible in the day. =O

But I must admit, I don't put any attention into physical training so cycling leisurely would be no problem, but at the speed which GD rode, I found my thighs intoxicated badly with Lactic Acid during the return trip, so much so that I started lagging about 500m behind Erwin, GD and Eunice. The gap increased even further when we reached Loyang, where the terrain starts to go uphill... =\

By the time all of us returned, it was about 5.30am. I was sweaty, stinky and erpsingly soaked in sweat. And lethargy kicked in at around 6.30am when I couldn't stay up any longer. I wasn't able to concentrate on the mahjong game - whoever the player was. I found myself... falling... asleep...zzZZZZzzzZZz.

But hmm the next morning the rest of us took forever to leave the chalet cuz... everyone just decided to lag since I was sleeping (again!). Anyway, after a late breakfast (at 11.40am) we went off to visit E!Hub.

And once there, we spent more than 15 bucks on the game machines. I spent 8 bucks on Silent Hill, 3 bucks on the Street Basketball while Jon forked out another 4 bucks for Time Crisis. Cheap thrilllllsss! :D

Bored, we then decided to utilise the coupon issued by the chalet to play a free round of Bowling - at Orchid Bowl. Hoho and I realised how much I suck at Bowling even after taking ONE ENTIRE SABBATICAL on it. Zomg, I learnt NOTHING! :DDDD

Since we were STILL bored and had time to kill, we retreated to play pool. And zomg it was like 6 months since I last played pool and goodness gracious me, it was a MIRACLE that I remembered HOW TO PLAY zomg. =X

But since it was Jason who subsidised our Pool game, it didn't really matter how well you fared in the game hahahaha (and I pity Jason who teamed up with me for the round; zomg I was so... NOOB)

And since it was STILL early (hahaha I just need to reach my friend's house by 6.30pm so 3.30pm WAS a little early), we lagged around a lot more to.. eat Mee Sua. o_O Apparently OB was hungry and he caused a ripple effect to break out, influencing the rest of us to eat along tsk.

Finally, at 4pm, everyone needed to leave so we PARTED WAYS. =|

Rah. I finally finished writing this Blog Entry!

My 8 month journey with HI038 is finally over... today.

Whilst the end of one journey marks the start of another, this 8 month period which I spent with HI038 was really a very enriching and enjoyable experience. Although our journey was plagued - at the start and at the end - with problems and hiccups, we managed to tide through and came up with a substantiated WR and a good OP performance. I dare say that I am really proud of my group's accomplishments for PW.

Chrono Trigger X will go down the memory lane as a major part of my memories in HC. Perhaps 10 years later, when I read this post again, I will start to reminiscent the times I had with my group members...

Rock on, HI038!

P.S. I spent 2 hours doing this 3D box art yesterday night and it was flashed for less than 30 seconds lulz. :/

ZOMGWTFBBQ!!1!1!

I went to watch one of the MOST ANTICIPATED and MOST WANTED musicals of the year!

AVENUE Q - THE MUSICAL

It was omgwtfbubbly good! I can't express how good it was properly in prose, so I will use 5 adjectives to sum it up:

- Inspirational
- Entertaining
- Hilarious
- Reflective
- Impressive

Avenue Q is one great muppet show that further exemplifies the talents of the puppeters on stage! The lead male and female puppeters have amazingly melodious voice which engaged me fully for the whole 130 minutes. Not to mention that the woman lead was quite good looking too... :D

Of the many songs in the Musical, there are... 3 which I want to pick out. They are really.. heart warming, inspirational and for one, funny. =)

There's A Fine, Fine Line.

If You Were Gay

I liek (intentionally misspelt) the black one actually. o_O

This is just ONE of the many camwhore pictures which we took lulz.

I sound like a... self obsessed kid who just rediscovered himself (omg that doesnt sound sick does it? o_O)

Yaay.

Movie Review: High School Musical 3

"It's a hilarious flick which the music pieces become overdone and excessively placed after watching it for 30 minutes. You will start laughing at the actors' random injection of music and dance (and sometimes teleportation) into emotional, inspiring and sometimes exciting scenes. Basketball and singing don't match thank you."

Plot

Granted, HSM3 is a MUSICAL on its own accord, so I didn't expect anything good to come out of this 128 minute flick. And therefore, HSM3 delivers what I had initially expected: shallow and cliche plot with expected twists and touching endings. Unless you happen to be in the same position as Troy and Gabriella, you will find the plot dumb and rather ridiculous. Yes, it's a love story, but at least show us MORE emotions in between the different scenes. I don't want to spend 5 minutes watching Ryan and Sharpay becoming overly egoistic and neither will I like to see 2 gays singing in a car dump.

Screenplay

Perhaps the most irritating thing about HSM3 will be Ryan's bombastic outfits - which goes along the lines of gay, highly fashionable and so purple. Still, the audience was thoroughly treated to a BUFFET of good looking actors who don on ever-so-not-revealing clothing with the right cutting and streamline.

I particularly like the overhead shots of the mass dances and songs. I may have seen such things 36346383292 times in the HSM 1 and 2 instalments, but the larger group of calefares in HSM3 really spice up the entire effect as being joyous, jippidish and so, so happy. >_>

Music and Sound

If I were to err this section of the movie then I guess this movie will not be worth watching AT ALL. Fortunately, the songs in the movie are rather engaging and at times, entertaining, that kept me staying on for the full 128 minutes. However, as I have said earlier, BASKETBALL AND SINGING don't come together. I hate it when they forcefeed songs into ridiculous scenes - such as in a basketball match - just to give Zac more singing time. What's worse was the delivery of the song within the match (Spoiler: We see Troy and Gabriella standing in 2 spotlights - with Gabriella in the audience stand and Troy singing to her in the court) which really spoiled the entire presentation right from the first 15 minutes.

To make the songs look and feel more ridiculous will be the abrupt introductions or entrances of the different tracks into the various scenes which were involved. I don't see how 2 guys discussing about their future can lead to a song and neither do I understand why emotional Troy scenes must be coupled with another emotional slow paced song. Luckily, the ending song made up for everything which was bad in front - or this section would have failed in this review.

Final Verdict

This uber hyped up movie is NOT the movie to watch this holiday. Personally, I would rather catch other better flicks such as THE HOUSE BUNNY (lulz) or the upcoming QUANTUM OF SOLACE. HSM3 is a bland and linear movie that provides very little stimulus to keep the audience awake - and attracted.

Plot - 5.5/10
Cliche, Expected and so not entertaining.

Screenplay - 6.5/10
Thank You for the sexy shots but not very so for the gay ones. The last scene was good.

Music - 7.5/10
Thanks to the finale song, this section was saved. The songs generally range from 'RIDICULOUS' and 'ATROCIOUS' to 'HYPER' and/or 'JOYFUL'. The SD in this case is quite large.

Total - 19.5/30
B
Not a top notch movie to begin with - HSM3 could be better with a less chessy plot, a better character development and less irritating Sharpay ego boosts. Nonetheless the flick was entertaining, and in the least, funny to watch through.

Nothing else to say. Period.

I would LOVE to upload the other camwhore pictures but I am afraid that my life would be threatened after that, so... nah.

I did quite a few random things today hahaha.

At Vivo City, I saw the GALA PREMIERE event of some cartoon called Dragon Hunters. lulz.

There was this girl host with a SUPER SHRILL and HIGH PITCHED VOICE which I immediately labelled as a bitch's scream.

Anyway, the 'DRAGON' looks cute.

It's quite cute rightttt..? Or is there something wrong with my taste? :D

Haha I shall not go into the details anymore but... hmmm Cafe Cartel's Grilled Chicken is not bad. :O

But not their Iced Peach Tea. :\
